v4.103.0 — Sessions now close on their own
A user told us the system had no timeout, and they were right: a session lasted thirty days from login whether or not it was used, and closing the browser did not end it. An abandoned computer stayed signed in.
Now, in the browser, the session ends after eight hours without real activity —keyboard, mouse or screen— and, in any case, seven days after signing in. A tab left open that polls for notifications by itself does not count as use.
What you will see
- One minute before closing, a notice lets you stay connected.
- When you sign in again, the login screen explains what happened: inactivity or the seven-day limit.
- The Android app keeps its behavior: the phone already has its own lock.
A deactivated user no longer stays signed in
Before, someone who was deactivated could keep working with the session they already had open. Now that session stops renewing.
When you update: web sessions opened more than seven days ago close at their next renewal. There are no migrations.
